New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday night, July 11 at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA for RED, WHITE & BRUISED.  Bell time is 7 PM.

On the heels of one of the greatest events in company history, NECW officials have signed a unique main event for RED, WHITE & BRUISED.   Antonio “The Promise” Thomas, the 2009 IRON 8 Champion will face off against last year’s IRON 8 Winner, “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion.  There is plenty of bad blood between these two, as Arion cost Thomas the Triple Crown earlier in the year by interfering in Thomas’ title match against “The Enforcer” Max Bauer.   To add further to the intrigue, NECW officials have announced that this will also be a #1 contender’s match and the winner will go on to contend for the NECW Triple Crown Championship at BIRTHDAY BASH 9 on Saturday, August 8th.

Given the heinous actions of Alex Arion in trying to run down the NECW Triple Crown Champion, Max Bauer will not be wrestling on July 11th due to injuries suffered at the hands of “The Golden Greek.”   Bauer will be at the event on July 11th with an announcement about his next defense of the championship.

NECW Tag Team Champions, The Crown Jewels, accompanied by “Mr. Fabulous” Tony Ulysses, were originally scheduled to take on the new team of rookie sensation, Davey Loomis and the 2 time former NECW Heavyweight Champion, Maverick Wild.   However, Maverick Wild is out of action due to a back injury and his place will be taken by Florida’s J.T. Flash, a protege of WWE Hall of Famer, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka.

NECW Television Champion, “Superstar” Ryan Matthews with his Grandpa, Robbie Ellis in his corner, will defend the title against “The Heat” Kris Pyro.

In a special World Women’s Wrestling Feature Match, it will be a six woman tag team challenge as World Women’s Wrestling Champion, “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel teams with Mistress Belmont and Sammi Lane to take on the team of Alexxis Nevaeh, Taeler Hendrix and the returning Amber.

Plus, “The Talent” T.J. Richter with Mr. Munroe in his corner, takes on Nick Westgate.

“Sensational” Scott Levesque with Sammi Lane in his corner, battles “The Devil’s Reject” Brandon Webb.

In a special young lion’s challenge match, Brendan Michael Thomas with World Women’s Wrestling Champion, “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel in his corner collides with Puerto Rican sensation, Luis Brisbol, as he makes his NECW debut.

In a special tag team showcase match, two new teams do battle, as The Red Devil Fight Team (Mikhail Ivanov & Aleksander Chekov) square off against Alex Payne & Matt Magnum.

The countdown is on.  This Saturday night, May 30th, NECW presents the 6th Annual IRON 8 Championship and the final NECW TV before this huge event is now online, and it is a very controversial episode due to an incident that ends the program.

We begin with words from some of the competitors in this year’s tournament, as we recap some of the thoughts from  Slyck Wagner Brown, Antonio Thomas and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke on the eve of the IRON 8.  We also have new thoughts from “The Heat” Kris Pyro on Saturday night event.

NECW officials have announced the first round matchups for Saturday night’s (May 30) 6th Annual IRON 8 Championship, taking place at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA.

Former 2 time NECW Television Champion, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke will face up and coming star “The Heat” Kris Pyro.

Former 2 time NECW Heavyweight Champion, Maverick Wild will battle rookie star, Davey Loomis.

Former WWE star and former NECW Tag Team Champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas will take on “The Natural” Scott Osbourne.

And finally, former WWE star and WWE Tag Team Champion, Kenny Doane collides with fromer NECW Heavyweight Champion, Slyck Wagner Brown.

In addition, between the first and final rounds of the IRON 8, there will be a special mixed tag team grudge match, as NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Enforcer” Max Bauer teams with Alexxis Nevaeh to square off against “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion and Mistress Belmont, managed by Sean Gorman.

Special guest, 8 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, WWE & WCW Hall of Famer, Harley Race, will present the trophy to the winner of this year’s IRON 8.

NECW officials have announced that Davey Loomis will replace the injured Tomasso Ciampa in the 6th Annual IRON 8 Championship, on Saturday night, May 30 at the Quincy Armory.

Since joining the NECW roster last year, Loomis has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in NECW.

The former amateur champion makes his first appearance in the IRON 8.

Now that the field is complete, NECW officials will release the first round match-ups this coming Tuesday, May 26th.

NECW officials received word last week that Tomasso Ciampa, who had been previously announced as a competitor in NECW’s 6th Annual IRON 8 Championship Tournament taking place on Saturday night, May 30 at the Nationla Guard Armory in Quincy, MA, has had to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury that will require knee surgery.

NECW President, Sheldon Goldberg released a statement saying, “Tomasso Ciampa will be missed in this year’s tournament.  We here at NECW wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing Tomasso in action here in NECW at a future date.”

The NECW Championship Committee will be announcing a replacement for Ciampa on Monday, May 18.
