Saturday night, February 20th at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street in Quincy, MA with a 7 PM bell time. NECW presents its monthly television taping for Comcast On Demand.
All matches that night will be taped for NECW’s new weekly TV program online and on Comcast On Demand.
Some of the stars featured will include, NECW Triple Crown Champion, “The Enforcer” Max Bauer, NECW Television Champion, ‘The Heat” Kris Pyro. The NECW Tag Team Champions, The Crown Jewels, #1 Contender “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke, “The Natural” Scott Osbourne, NECW Television Champion, “The Heat” Kris Pyro, D.C. Author Larry Matysik Joins The Mouthpiece Wrestling Show, This Saturday, January 30 at 3 PM
The Mouthpiece Wrestling Show” with Sheldon Goldberg, Joe Matterazzo and Mike Johnson returns on Saturday, January 30 at 3:00 PM EST on WWZN 1510 AM in Boston.
Joe is off this week, and Mike Johnson calls in from the big Wrestle Reunion event in Los Angeles. We begin the show this week with a rememberance and tribute to the late Georgiann Makropoulos, the true first lady of pro wrestling. For those unfamiliar with Georgiann, tune in to get a glimpse into one of the most important people in pro wrestling, who never stepped foot inside a ring.
This week’s special guest is author Larry Matysik, the former assistant to NWA founder and president, the late Sam Munchnik, who went on to become the voice of St. Louis wrestling and later a booker and promoter, as well as having worked for the World Wrestling Federation as part of the company’s national expansion in the mid-80’s. Matysik has one of the most unique views of pro wrestling and he shares many of his experiences in the first of a two part interview airing this week.
Matysik is the author of 4 books on pro wrestling: Wrestling at the Chase, Brody, From the Golden Era: The St. Louis Record Book 1959-1983 and his latest, Drawing Heat the Hard Way: How Wrestling Really Works, all available from ECW Press via amazon.com and bookstores everywhere.

Due to technical issues caused by the cancellation of our December 19 TV taping, New England Championship Wrestling’s debut on Comcast SportsNet will be delayed.
The first show intended to air on Comcast SportsNet will be available locally via Comcast Video On Demand in the Get Local/Sports/SportsNetwork & Shows folder beginning on Friday, January 8 at 4 PM.

NECW on Comcast SportsNet: Debut Show Preview
New England Championship Wrestling premieres on Comcast SportsNet this Friday, January 8 at 4 PM EST.
The first four weeks of the show will be an introduction to New England Championship Wrestling by showing some of the best matches from recent months, along with features and interviews will bring new fans up to date with the history and operation of the company.
The debut episode begins with a recurring feature called NECW 101. This week’s NECW 101 profiles the championships sanctioned and recognized by New England Championship Wrestling and introduces the current champions.
Two championship matches and a great tag team battle are on tap in the kick-off episode:
NECW Television Champion, “The Heat” Kris Pyro defends his title against Chris Camaro in the opening bout. World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Neveah puts her coveted red and gold belt on the line against Mistress Belmont, managed by Sean Gorman.
This week’s feature match is a tag team match from the first round of NECW’s 1st Annual Tag Team Classic that took place this past September, as the team of Real Natural (”The Natural” Scott Osbourne and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke) face off against the Canadian duo of Twiggy and Stupefied.
