Toxic Waltz News and Results

New England Championship Wrestling made a triumphant return to the National Guard Armory this past Saturday night, November 21st in front of an enthusiastic near sellout crowd for the 2009 TOXIC WALTZ.

The evening began with a short video tribute to a New England wrestling legend, the late “Boston Bad Boy” Tony Rumble, who passed away ten years ago last week.

In the opening match of the night, NECW Television Champion, “The Heat” Kris Pyro retained his title in a very competitive match against Brendan Michael Thomas.

“The Natural” Scott Osbourne with “The Rock God” Brett Adams defeated “The Devil’s Reject” Brandon Webb.

In a special World Women’s Wrestling Tam Team Challenge Match, the team of World Women’s Wrestling Chgampion, Alexxis Neveah and Ivy defeated Sammi Lane and newcomer Kimaya, when Sammi Lane tried to use the stuffed bear, Hugs, to hit Ivy, but hit Kimaya instead.

NECW Triple Crown Champion, Max Bauer defeated ‘The Talent” T.J. Richter wkith Mr. Munroe and Mr. Mini-ro.

In a 6 Man Tag Team Grudge Match, Rican Havoc (Ryan Bisbal, Don Vega and the returning, Jose Perez) with Ivy in their corner defeated NECW Tag Team Champions, The Crown Jewels & “Sensational” Scott Levesque with “Mr. Fabulous” Tony Ulysses in their corner.

In a live Pat’s Pit, Pat “The Brat” Piper and Handsome Johnny discussed the final challenge in their ongoing battle for control of the NECW interview segments.  The two agreed that next month in Quincy the feud would be settled in a wrestling match and that each man would select 5 wrestlers they would pick to represent the other.  A choice will be drawn from a hat for each man and those two picked would square off with the winner getting control of the interview segments.

In The Toxic Waltz main event, a 10 man gauntlet match to determine the number one contender for the NECW Triple Crown Championship, it was a night of surprising match ups.  The rules were that the loser of each fall picked the winner’s next opponent.  Each fall took place under no disqualification rules.

The first two men to start were picked at random by NECW officials prior to the first bell.  Surprisingly enough, tag team partners Alex Payne and Davey Loomis were selected to face each other.  Loomis took the victory relying on his quickness and amateur skills.  Payne was disappointed, but proud of his partner and chose “The Talent” T.J. Richter as the next opponent.

T.J. Richter defeated Davey Loomis, when Mr. Munroe hit a huge forearm to the back of Loomis as he was coming off the ropes.  Richter spun the stunned Loomis into a neckbreaker for the victory.  Loomis, upset at Munroe’s interference, picked him as Richter’s next opponent.

T.J. Richter defeated Mr. Munroe after he ordered Munroe to lay down for him so he could advance in the match.  At first, Munroe wasn’t buying in to Richter’s orders and even Mr. Mini-ro yelled at the massive bodyguard.  Munroe angrily picked Richter up looking like he was going to slam his employer, but instead fell backward and layed down for the three count, allowing Richter to advance.  Richter called out his next opponent, NECW Television Champion, “The Heat” Kris Pyro.

“The Heat” Kris Pyro defeated T.J. Richter after numerous attempts at interference from Mr. Munroe and Mini-ro, Pyro reversed Richter’s neckbreaker into a backslide for the victory.   Richter then called out “Sensational” Scott Levesque, who came to the ring with Handsome Johnny.

Levesque began the match with a cheap shot on Pyro and had the NECW Television Champion at a disadvantage most of the way, when Pyro hit his version of the Afterburn seemingly out of nowhere to advance.  Levesque was flipping out over the loss, when Handsome Johnny chose “The Natural” Scott Osbourne as Pyro’s next opponent.

“The Natural” Scott Osbourne defeated “The Heat” Kris Pyro in a closely fought match when Osbourne pinned Pyro with his feet on the ropes for the win.  Pyro then brought out former NECW Triple Crown Champion, D.C. Dillinger.

D.C. Dillinger defeated “The Natural” Scott Osbourne in spite of attempted interference by “The Rock God” Brett Adams.  Osbourne and Adams trash talk Dillinger on the outside and is them jumped from behind by Osbourne’s pick, his tag team partner, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke.

“The Real Deal” Brandon Locke defeated D.C. Dillinger when Brett Adams hooked Dillinger’s leg coming off the ropes.  Dillinger went to grab Adams, but Scott Osbourne ran back out while the referee was distracted and snapped Dillinger’s neck over the top rope.  Dillinger, reeling from the attack, walked right into the waiting Locke who hit him with the Locke Down for the pinfall.   With the 10th man being a wild card and anyone in or out of NEWCW, after Dillinger started to come around, he said that there was a time when Sabotage ruled NECW, and while Eddie Edwards is in Japan, there was a third member of Sabotage at one time, and he brought out Jason Blade as the final man in THE TOXIC WALTZ.

In the final fall, Jason Blade came out strong and looked to have the match won after hitting Locke with a superkick.  Locke had his feet on the ropes and when Blade tried to set him up for it again, Locke caught him and spun him into the Locke Down to win the 2009 TOXIC WALTZ.

After the match, Locke, Osbourne and Brett Adams all took turns working over Blade when NECW Triple Crown Champion, Max Bauer came in to make the save.  Bauer and Locke stared each other down to end the night.
