“THE GOLDEN GREEK” ALEX ARION
Alex Arion, one of the top wrestlers in New England, started watching wrestling as a young child and says it is something that he always wanted to do. Watching the matches of Ricky Steamboat, Shawn Michaels, and the British Bulldogs inspired him to get into the business himself. He started his training with Al Snow at the Bodyslammers Wrestling Gym. He continued training with Steve Bradley, who he had his first match against in New Bedford in August of 1998 and who he describes as one of his toughest opponents to date, as well as Maverick Wild and Bob Evans. The highlights of Alex’s wrestling career thus far are winning the NECW championship and competing in the Super 8 tournament in April of 2003. Besides wrestling, Alex’s favorite sports are basketball, baseball, and body building. In his spare time he likes to read, work out, and listen to hard rock, heavy metal, and alternative music. He also likes watching action and comedy movies. Alex Arion is one of the biggest fan favorites in New England today. He is looking forward to great things in the future as a part of NECW and says he is proud to be a part of it. - Kristina Altieri |
